Last year, this time, I'd been working on the first six pattern ideas I had floating around in my head for months. I had already put a lot of time into the project. It was a huge learning curve for me and there were so many times I just wanted to give up. And, besides, I thought, what if no one liked them when I was done, anyway? What if I became an Etsy reject? Oh, the pain...
But, here we are a year later, and I think I can say Ruby Jean's Closet has had some level of success. Not just because sales have been good, but because it has been fun.
I have "met" some of the nicest people. I can't wait to check my email each day. I never know what I will find but it's always something good - a new customer, a sweet comment, or a shared picture or two. I love getting questions from beginners as well as advice from seasoned sewers. I love what I do.
I have decided, sewers are just nice people. I want to say thanks to all of you. I can not tell you how much your support and words of encouragement have meant to me.
From the beginning I planned to share my Ruby Jean Paper Doll. I just hadn't gotten around to it before now. The plan was to share a series of printables throughout the year - just to say thank you. I'm working on some note cards, birthday cards and invitations, Valentine cards, additional paper doll sets, etc. Here's the first paper doll set for your little girls (or the little girl in all of us)....meet Ruby Jean!

Thanks a bunch!
