Quick and Easy Christmas Gift for the Boys...

Pin It I made several of these Take-a-long throws, an Anthro knock-off, for the guys on our Christmas list last year.  They were really quick and easy and I loved that I was able to custom fit them, making a really big one for a really big and really, REALLY tall family member.  And, there was the sort of small one for a special eight year old, too!

What an unlikely combo...
1. A full/queen blanket from Dollar General (it was big enough to make 2 throws)
OR enough fleece to make the size you want.
2. Four or 5 thrifted plaid mens shirts.  I made 4 throws and still had some
    scraps left.
3. Three large dog collars from Dollar Tree.

Let's get started...

I chose a full/queen size blanket.  One blanket was large enough to make two good sized throws.  Fleece would work just as well.

Stitch the strips together randomly.

Now, for the carrying straps...

There you have it! I can't wait to
try one "for the girls"!

20% off Sunny Flower Dress Pattern...

...with coupon code "Christmas".  Good until Tuesday night, Nov. 6, 10pm CST.

The Sunny Flower Pillowcase Dress pattern makes a cute little poinsettia dress for Christmas.  I found all three fabrics at JoAnn's, on sale, in one trip.  Lucky me!  The body of the dress is a lightweight suiting fabric.  It's the perfect weight and I love how "flow-y" it looks.
